What Makes It Special The Quest 30 is a first-of-its-kind hybrid : the deep, log-filled look of a traditional firebox inside the clean lines of a linear fireplace. In the room, it reads as a fireplace people gather around, not a panel in the wall. The fire is Dimplex’s Multi-Fire flame effect—adjustable flame styles and different themes—over a loose log set you can actually rearrange , with a pulsating ember bed and built-in crackling sound. Set the logs the way you like them, and the glow follows. The flames run with or without heat, year-round , so a July evening gets the same fire as a January one. The glass stays cool to the touch, and built-in self-diagnostics give you maintenance and operation feedback instead of leaving you guessing. Possible Downsides • Supplemental Heat, Not Primary: It’s built to warm the room it’s in while the furnace carries the rest of the house. • Corner and bay installations require a trim kit, sold separately; front-facing installs need nothing extra. • One crackling sound is built in; additional sound options require the Flame Connect app. If you want a wood-fire look in a room where wood was never an option, the Ignite Quest 30 is the right decision.
